Samen met haar vriend, een fysiotherapeut, maakte ze de overstap naar het buitenland. &#8216;Voor ons was het belangrijk om dichtbij een skigebied te wonen,&#8217; legt Dominick uit. Dat vind ik juist prettig, omdat er meer flexibiliteit is in de regels.&#8217; Ze waardeert ook de persoonlijke aandacht voor pati\u00ebnten. &#8216;Privaat verzekerde pati\u00ebnten worden op aparte afdelingen geplaatst, wat anders is dan in Nederland, maar hier goed werkt.&#8217;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De Zwitserse cultuur ervaart Dominick als vriendelijk, maar ze merkt dat contacten vaak oppervlakkig blijven. &#8216;Ons netwerk bestaat voornamelijk uit andere Nederlanders die hier met hetzelfde doel zijn. Dat maakt het makkelijker om ervaringen te delen en elkaar te ondersteunen.&#8217;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Een waardevolle ervaring<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dominick kijkt met tevredenheid terug op haar keuze. &#8216;Het lijkt misschien een grote stap, maar de mogelijkheden zijn er en het proces valt uiteindelijk mee. Mijn advies is om je goed voor te bereiden en de sprong te wagen.
