Al haar hele leven had ze de wens om in het buitenland te werken. \u2018Vroeger wilde ik heel graag naar Australi\u00eb, maar dat vond ik toch iets te spannend en ver weg.\u2019 Toen ze via Korint\u00ae een webinar over werken in Zwitserland volgde, kreeg ze de overtuiging om deze droom waar te maken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018De taal leren was mijn grootste zorg, maar tijdens het webinar hoorde ik dat je de taal snel oppakt als je eenmaal in Zwitserland bent. Dat gaf me het vertrouwen om de stap te zetten.\u2019 Samen met haar ouders reed ze eind juli naar Zwitserland, waar ze eerst twee dagen van de prachtige omgeving genoot voordat ze begon met werken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Werken in een reguliere praktijk<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Kayleigh werkt nu in een reguliere praktijk waar ze vooral oudere pati\u00ebnten behandelt. \u2018De meeste pati\u00ebnten spreken geen Engels, dus ik moest mijn Duits snel verbeteren. Gelukkig schakelen mijn collega\u2019s naar Hochdeutsch wanneer nodig, want Zwitserduits was in het begin erg lastig te begrijpen.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Een bewuste keuze was om te werken voor een Nederlandse werkgever. \u2018Dat gaf me extra zekerheid, want bij ingewikkelde vragen kan ik terugvallen op het Nederlands.\u2019 Inmiddels voelt Kayleigh zich steeds zekerder in haar werk en waardeert ze het respect en de leergierigheid van haar pati\u00ebnten. \u2018De Zwitsers willen ook leren van mijn technieken. Misschien komt dat doordat ik in een kleiner dorp woon.\u2019 Ze merkte ook een groot verschil in hoe taalproblemen worden behandeld. \u2018In Nederland word je vaak verbeterd als je een fout maakt, maar in Zwitserland accepteren ze het gewoon.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De grootste verschillen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Naast de cultuur merkt Kayleigh praktische verschillen op. \u2018De stopcontacten zijn hier niet geaard, dus je hebt adapters nodig. En autorijden is ook anders: op een rotonde wachten ze rustig tot alle auto\u2019s voorbij zijn, terwijl je in Nederland sneller doorrijdt.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het salaris is een ander groot verschil. \u2018Het is hier aanzienlijk hoger, wat natuurlijk mooi meegenomen is. Daarnaast werk je langere dagen, maar met een uitgebreide pauze tussendoor. En je krijgt per uur betaald, ongeacht of je pati\u00ebnten behandelt. Dat is in Nederland wel anders.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>De begeleiding van Korint\u00ae<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Kayleigh kijkt met veel tevredenheid terug op haar traject met Korint\u00ae. \u2018Ze hebben alles voor me geregeld, van het papierwerk tot de erkenning van mijn diploma. Tijdens het webinar won ik een prijsvraag en kwam Korint\u00ae zelfs bij mij thuis langs. Dat gaf ook mijn moeder een goed gevoel, omdat ze wist dat ik in goede handen was.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Zonder Korint\u00ae had ik deze stap nooit gezet. Het is zoveel geregel en je weet echt niet waar je moet beginnen. Ze hebben me geweldig geholpen. Ik raad het iedereen aan die erover denkt om naar Zwitserland te gaan: gewoon doen! Het is een prachtige ervaring waar ik geen moment spijt van heb gehad.\u2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vanaf het moment dat Kayleigh de sprong waagde om haar carri\u00e8re als fysiotherapeut in Zwitserland voort te zetten, heeft ze geen moment spijt gehad.
