About the Netherlands
”The Netherlands surrounded by water, this ocean is so big, you can even see it from the moon. The country is known for its flat landscape, canals, tulip fields, windmills and cycling population. Amsterdam, the capital, is known for its artistic heritage, elaborate canal system, narrow houses with gabled facades and legacies of the city’s 17th century: the Golden Age.”
Types of hospitals in the Netherlands
The Netherlands has three different types of hospitals. These hospitals offer different levels of specialistic healthcare.
University medical centers are affiliated with exceeding Dutch universities. There are eight academic hospitals in the Netherlands, all of which have a variety of researchers and specialists working in them. They are able to provide more specialized care.
Teaching hospitals also work with the university medical centers to encourage the training of nurses and medical interns. They also offer some more specialized treatments and interns may accompany the doctor during procedures.
General hospitals provide a standard, even though very good, health care for less specialized problems. They will, if needed, refer patients to more specialized facilities.
